On the afternoon of October 3, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, welcomed and worked with Mr. Tan Teck Yong, Chairman of KinderWorld Education Group, who was exploring investment opportunities to develop the International Education Complex project in the province. Representatives of several provincial departments and agencies also attended the meeting.
Introducing KinderWorld Education Group, Mr. Tan Teck Yong stated that the group was established in 1986 in Singapore with the mission of providing continuous education from preschool to postgraduate levels. KinderWorld has been operating in Vietnam since 2000, with 16 educational institutions ranging from preschool to high school and 10 post-secondary training centers. Students in the KinderWorld system are equipped with essential knowledge and skills for globalization in the information technology era while preserving and promoting the cultural and traditional values of East Asia.
In Vinh Phuc Province, KinderWorld aims to develop a 50-hectare International Education Complex, consisting of nine components, namely the Singapore International School (from preschool to high school); Pegasus International College; Outward Bound Vietnam Life Skills Education School; Residential housing and villas; Shophouse complex; Commercial center; Technology Park and Smart-Hub office area; Clinic and medical center; and the Central Park. With an advanced curriculum and modern educational facilities, KinderWorld International Education Group is committed to creating a comprehensive, world-class international education environment for students.
Chairman Tran Duy Dong emphasized that Vinh Phuc Province places great importance on investment in education and training development. In recent years, the province's education quality has consistently ranked among the top in the country, with many students achieving high honors in intellectual competitions. Vinh Phuc has also proactively developed a high-quality workforce to meet the needs of investors, particularly in high-tech and semiconductor industries. However, the province currently has a limited number of non-public educational institutions, especially those with foreign investment. Thus, Vinh Phuc actively encourages and prioritizes investment in education.
The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee expressed his support for the proposed Singapore International Education Complex project. He instructed the provincial Center for Investment Promotion and Business Support to establish a working group to collaborate with KinderWorld International Education Group in reviewing planning and identifying suitable locations for the project. He also pledged to create the most favorable conditions for the group to complete investment procedures and promptly implement the project. This initiative is expected to enhance the quality of education and significantly contribute to the province's educational development.
